Pavicret printed flooring: the exterior finish that conquers McDonald's restaurants
The accesses and terraces of a restaurant are the first contact with the brand. That is why McDonald’s has relied on Pavicret printed pavement to renovate the outdoor areas of its premises in Spain: sidewalks, McAuto lanes, landscaped areas and playgrounds. A continuous, resistant and decorative pavement capable of withstanding thousands of footsteps and wheels every day without sacrificing corporate aesthetics.

What is Pavicret printed pavement?
The printed pavement -also known as printed concrete-is a fresh concrete screed textured and colored in situ with Pavicret’s own molds and hardeners. The result is a continuous, non-slip surface with a rich chromatic richness that imitates stone, cobblestone or other decorative patterns.
Why it stands out from other outdoor pavements
- High mechanical resistance to intense vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
- Waterproof and easy to clean: withstands grease and oils common in restaurants.
- Speed of execution: a single application without complex joints.
- Creative freedom in colors and textures to reflect the brand identity.
- Minimal maintenance throughout its useful life.
A pavement to match the McDonald's experience
Corporate design without compromising durability
The restaurants incorporate ochre and anthracite gray shades, combined with cobblestone molds that guide the customer from the parking lot to the McAuto counter. The color is integrated into the surface layer itself, so it does not wear out over time or under UV rays.
Safety for customers and employees
Pavicret printed pavement has a non-slip texture and controlled micro-reliefs that facilitate the evacuation of rainwater, avoiding puddles and reducing the risk of slipping even in children’s play areas and terraces.
Maintenance optimization
Thanks to its continuous and sealed surface, grease or beverage residues are removed with pressurized water and neutral detergent, without aggressive products or costly treatments. McDonald’s Facility Management department estimates savings of 30% in cleaning costs compared to prefabricated slabs.
Installation process: logistics "without stopping the kitchen".
- Night planning: Pavicret teams work in off-peak time slots to reduce the impact on sales.
- Pouring and spreading of structural concrete, followed by application of pigmented mineral hardener.
- Stamped with Pavicret molds that replicate the traditional cobblestone.
- Cured and sealed with proprietary resins that enhance color and seal porosity.
- 24-48 h start-up: the restaurant resumes its normal activity with minimum interference.
