Coca-Cola factory: the record-breaking sill with Pavicret solutions
When Coca-Cola designed its new bottling plant, the requirement was clear: a pavement capable of withstanding 24 hours of forklift movement, sudden temperature changes and a constant flow of visitors. To achieve this, the construction company relied on three Pavicret references working as a team:
Refordur glass fibers – internal concrete reinforcement
PaviCret Industrial – high-performance monolithic wearing course
PaviSol / SellaCril curing lacquers – long-lasting curing and sealing lacquer
The result: floors ready for the demanding pace of a bottling plant, seamless and with an impeccable finish.

A demanding installation that does not tolerate cracks
The plant is divided into three main transit areas:
- Piers and exterior pavements: subjected to large tonnage tanker trucks.
- Garage and maintenance area: frequent contact with oils and fuels.
- Production lines: continuous traffic of pallet trucks and mobile robots.
Each zone required high mechanical strength, shrinkage control and surface protection.
Refordur - the invisible reinforcement that multiplies resistance
Refordur glass fibers are added directly to the mixer and generate a three-dimensional micro-armor:
- High tensile strength and high elastic modulus limiting the occurrence of microcracks.
- Compatible with alkaline environments typical of cement and with permanent humidity from the industrial process.
Thanks to this homogeneous distribution, traditional lath was unnecessary, reducing construction time and placement risks.
PaviCret Industrial Hydrated Coating – the surface that stands up to anything
PaviCret Industrial PMC (hydrated layer system) was sprinkled on the fresh concrete. In a few millimeters it generates a monolithic wearing course with:
- Extraordinary resistance to abrasion and impact, crucial in loading docks.
- Compression ≥ 30 MPa and modulus ≥ 30 GPa, exceeding logistic pavement standards.
- Yield 3-6 kg/m², adaptable according to the area.
The troweled finish provides a non-slip texture that complies with occupational safety regulations.
Sellacril Top – curing and sealing in one pass
Once the screed was cured, Sellacril Top was spray-applied:
- Solvent-based methacrylate resin that cures, seals and enhances the color of quartz.
- It forms a film of high hardness, resistant to UV rays and common industrial cleaning chemicals.
- Average consumption: 150-250 g/m², with drying to the touch in 1-2 h, which made it possible to open the areas in record time.
Benefits for each factory space
| Zone | Challenge | Pavicret Solution | Benefit obtained |
| Outdoor / docks | Heavy loads, sun and rain | PaviCret Industrial + Sellacril Top | Increased surface hardness and stable gloss |
| Garages | Oil dripping, braking | Refordur + Sellacril Top | Continuous pavement, easy to clean |
| Production | Vibrations, 24/7 traffic | Refordur + PaviCret Industrial | Controlled shrinkage, zero cracking |
Results that speak for themselves
– 0 shrinkage cracks after the first 12 months of service.
– Reduction of commissioning time by 20% compared to traditional systems.
– Minimum maintenance: standard cleaning without the need for waxing or repainting.
The implementation of Pavicret products has turned the floors of the Coca-Cola factory into an international success story that demonstrates how durability, speed of execution and ease of maintenance can go hand in hand in highly demanding industrial environments.
